About
A small firm on Spring Street. The person who inspects your house is the person who signs the report.
Padma Aiyar trained as an entomologist and now inspects houses for a living. She started the firm to write reports the way she was taught to write field notes: what was seen, where, when, and what couldn't be seen.
Two inspectors work with her. Between them they do the crawlspaces, the piers and the attics of the buyers' agents who send them work. We don't hand reports to a subcontractor.
The report and the treatment quote are separate documents. We write the report first, as if you would never hire us, and quote treatment only if the report calls for it.
The team
Owner, entomologist and lead inspector
Reads every report before it goes out and takes the walkthrough calls.
Inspector
Does most of the crawlspace and pier work. Photographs each area so the report shows where he looked.
Scheduling and reports
Books the visits, settles access with the agent and sends each report to everyone named on the order.
How we work
Not what we expect to find, and not what the deal needs.
A blocked hatch is a line on the report, not a gap in it.
Every walkthrough includes why a report is not a guarantee.
So the report never reads like a sales call.
Call the office or send the address and the closing date.
